1. Exhibition at the Abbey Library of St. Gallen and the Fondation Martin Bodmer: Switzerland’s illuminated treasures

On the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of e-codices, two exhibitions will be held, one at the Abbey Library of St. Gallen and the other at the Fondation Martin Bodmer in Cologny, near Geneva. For the first time in Switzerland, two simultaneous exhibitions will present a broad selection of illuminated manuscripts from 18 Swiss libraries. In a unique overview of an exceptional cultural heritage, the Abbey Library presents the sacred world of liturgical and pious works, while the Fondation Martin Bodmer displays the profane world of literary, philosophical, and scientific works, and all are magnificently illuminated.

The Summer Exhibition in St. Gallen opened on March 10, and will last until November 11.
The Exhibition in the Fondation Martin Bodmer will open on April 9, and will last until September 6.
