Displayed Sequence: restored version (images from April 2009)
Sequence Description: The Edictus Rothari has been restorated in 2008 by the book restorer Martin Strebel. He removed the additional material that was included in an attempt to potentially reconstruct the original manuscript. Among this material were photographs of fragments from Zürich (Staatsarchiv and Zentralbibliothek) and Karslruhe (Badische Landesbibliothek). A digital reconstruction containing all extant parts of the manuscript is planned as a "virtual manuscript" in the "sine loco" collection.
