| Manuscript Summary: | Manuscript Summary The account of the delegation of the Council of Basel to Greece was in large part written by the Council notary Jakob Hüglin (ca. 1400–1484). Hüglin was active at the Council as a notary (from 1432) and as a scribe (from 1435). In 1437, together with the notary Dietrich Winckelman, he accompanied the delegation to Constantinople. Part of the manuscript served as the exemplar for the manuscript Hs 4 of the Episcopal Archive of the Bishopric of Basel in Solothurn. |
