| Manuscript Summary: | Manuscript Summary Transcriptions, prepared by Mauritius Enk (1538-1575) of the Abbey of St. Gall, of lectures about the Holy Scripture (Isagoge in sacram scripturam) presented by the Spanish Jesuit Johannes Marianus (Juan de Mariana, 1536–1624). This text is on pp. 33–269. In addition, the volume contains excerpts from Augustine (pp. 19–21 from letter 28 to Jerome, with an alphabetical index on pp. 1–12; pp. 27–28 from the Confessiones), as well as a short treatise about confession before the Eucharist, Num confessio necessaria sit ante sumptionem Eucharistiae (pp. 270–271, not written by Enk). |
