Manuscript Summary
The manuscript, likely the oldest in the Franciscan Convent, produced in Bologna in the first half of the thirteenth century, contains the Decretum Gratiani flanked by Bartholomaeus of Brescia’s Glossa ordinaria. Fragments of charters from the fifteenth century on the pastedowns refer to the manuscript’s home in Fribourg. Gothic decoration, in red and blue, with rod-like pendances and blowing heads. Fifteenth-century chained binding covered in brown leather.
