pp. 1-64 = I8-IV8; pp. 65-81 = V8 (numbering skips 66); pp. 82-101 = ? ; pp. 102-109 = binio; pp. 110-113 = unio [Bruckner, with adjustments by RMP]. Hair/flesh arrangement: FHFH or HFHF.
Condition: Well smoothed, thick and thin parchment of moderate quality; yellowish-white flesh sides, hair sides very yellowish with pores.
Page layout:
Single column, 21-22 lines per page. Written area 15 x 10-9.5 cm (Bruckner). Dry point ruling, mostly on the hair-side, made prior to folding.
Writing and hands: Pure, fairly regular but uncalligraphic Caroline minuscule of the first third of the ninth century. Rust-brown and dark brown ink, changing frequently. Titles in coloured or dark purple undecorated majuscules (Bruckner)
Additions:
Front paste-down has a nineteenth-century table of contents. Something was there earlier, as p. 1 is very spotty. On p. 1 we find several notes: frater Petrus (s. XIX), 94 (s. XIX). May appear in a ninth-century catalogue of St Gall [Lehmann, MBKDS, p. 74.27]: “Ambrosii et Augustini contra hereticos libri II in volumine I” (Bruckner)
