Manuscript Summary: | Manuscript Summary An exceptional testimony of the "Renaissance" that rediscovered Platonism, as opposed to the medieval Thomism based on Aristotle, CB 136 was copied by the hand of the great Florentine humanist Leonardo Bruni, also called Aretino. This manuscript on parchment, written in a regular calligraphy, contains many philosophical dialogues, and it served as the basis for the Latin translation made by Aretino. |
